Our name was taken after the name Callisto, which is translated to "the most beautiful" in Greek mythology. Also in Astrology, Callisto is the 3rd largest moon in the solar system. According toNasa it has the darkest surface, but is twice as bright as our moon. It is also the most heavily crated object in the entire solar system. This is why it looks like it is all covered in sparkles.
